[Lately, N can be seen at the Chaos Gate, warping in an out regularly. He appears to not be staying long in Mac Anu, and if he is, it is to simply resupply before he goes to a new area.

He hasn't been speaking to anyone as of late, and has not been forming a party as he visits areas. He certainly has plenty of Member Addresses at this point, so what could he be doing all by himself?

Nevertheless, he will not turn down anyone who wishes to join him on a trip to a field.]

[He pulls up the information for the area. He's gotten rather used to using the technology of the relic. He looks at the map for a bit, before putting the relic away and meandering towards a separate island, crossing a nearby bridge.

There's a small party of monsters guarding the chests, but N doesn't seem to be going directly towards them.]

[Al Saiduq is confident that N knows what he's doing. And yet, suddenly the sound of his footsteps stops.]

[N seems to have gotten familiar with the range he needs to keep to avoid getting attacked by the monsters. He walks right up to a Chim Tree, giving it a kick and sending a cascading number of chims to the ground to run around playfully.]

[And this is something he hadn't found out yet. He'd seen the mine-cart-riding ones in the caves and the occasional bunch of them in the objects scattered about everywhere, though, and had given at least some thought to the Chims' existence. He doesn't kick them.]

What do you think of these creatures? Do they have a purpose beyond the energy they radiate?

They have just as much significance as you or I have.

[He chuckles, following a few as they scurried, nudging them with his foot instead of kicking them outright. The chims seemed to enjoy this game, at least, and relinquish their chim spheres.]

And yet, what exactly that is remains to be seen, if it is true. I don't have nearly as much experience with them as I do with humanity.

[If even a light tap is enough, then sure, he'll follow suit, even when N isn't with him.]

Trying to quantify a life is not feasible. The value of a life is immeasurable, no matter its form.

Something of indeterminate value, but is so clearly present. It is a value that cannot be ignored. A figure that must be present in any formula.

[There's a very strange smile, and a different weight to N, as he talks like this. It touches N to his core, and the passion he has for it is bared in pure honesty and interest.]

[This is a different way of looking at things, but it does remind him a little bit of Ronaldo.]

[That is not a good thing.]

And yet, different lives are capable of different things. You or even I, for instance, cannot produce the energy released by these Chim Chims, at least not now. Trying to consider them all equal is fruitless.

They are all equal, because they all cannot be quantified. Because their worth cannot be measured, they are the same type of variable, all represented by the same "n" in the formula.

[A smile, and chuckle.]

To understand a living thing, you cannot deconstruct it with a formula. That is what makes it special.

If you had the opportunity to remake the world, what would it be like?

If you had asked me a short while ago, I would have answered very simply. I would remake the world so that Pokémon and humans were separate from each other, so that neither of them would hurt the other.

But the Truth was shown to me. Since then... I'm not sure.

[There's an uncharacteristic slowness to his voice as he thinks for a moment.]

I have been looking for my own Truth, so that I can rebuild my Ideal.

But you would have left it mostly as is... In such a world, humans would still have limitless potential, yes?

And what are "Pokémon"?

I see. Your ideal must have been a strong desire for you, one that you would do anything for.

Pokemon are the creatures in my world. The "animals", and occasionally the plants. Humans capture and train them to grow strong, using them for many different things.

I once found this sort of thing to be awful. I heard the voices of Pokemon that had been tormented, abused, or abandoned. I only heard their misery and suffering. I befriended a great and powerful Pokemon, and with him at my side, I was going to impress the people and ask them to release their Pokemon into the wild. To free them, and separate them, without force.

"They" showed me what happiness a Pokemon could have, with a trainer.

[But far friendlier. Also naturally existing.]

So, humans work to bring out their potential? Do Pokémon help to bring out the potential of humans?
