The Second Ideal

[Lately, N can be seen at the Chaos Gate, warping in an out regularly. He appears to not be staying long in Mac Anu, and if he is, it is to simply resupply before he goes to a new area.

He hasn't been speaking to anyone as of late, and has not been forming a party as he visits areas. He certainly has plenty of Member Addresses at this point, so what could he be doing all by himself?

Nevertheless, he will not turn down anyone who wishes to join him on a trip to a field.]

If you had the opportunity to remake the world, what would it be like?

If you had asked me a short while ago, I would have answered very simply. I would remake the world so that Pokémon and humans were separate from each other, so that neither of them would hurt the other.

But the Truth was shown to me. Since then... I'm not sure.

[There's an uncharacteristic slowness to his voice as he thinks for a moment.]

I have been looking for my own Truth, so that I can rebuild my Ideal.

But you would have left it mostly as is... In such a world, humans would still have limitless potential, yes?

And what are "Pokémon"?

I see. Your ideal must have been a strong desire for you, one that you would do anything for.

Pokemon are the creatures in my world. The "animals", and occasionally the plants. Humans capture and train them to grow strong, using them for many different things.

I once found this sort of thing to be awful. I heard the voices of Pokemon that had been tormented, abused, or abandoned. I only heard their misery and suffering. I befriended a great and powerful Pokemon, and with him at my side, I was going to impress the people and ask them to release their Pokemon into the wild. To free them, and separate them, without force.

"They" showed me what happiness a Pokemon could have, with a trainer.

[They sound like demons.]

[But far friendlier. Also naturally existing.]

So, humans work to bring out their potential? Do Pokémon help to bring out the potential of humans?

Yes. When they work together, they can create amazing things.

Then, it is better that they remain together. The sheer potential of them working together sounds like it would more than sufficient to make up for the injustices that must occur.

That was the Truth that was shown to me.

[And he's very okay with it. The injustice hurts his heart, but he was truthfully relieved to see what wonderful friendships could be born from the two being together.]

Then, the person who first told you of it must have been very wise. If it were possible, I would want to meet with him.

So you are altering your Ideal so that it does not conflict with this Truth?

Yes. It has not been that long since I was overpowered. Since my Ideal was overpowered.

But that is okay. There is so much more for me to learn, in the world.

Even for I, who has seen so much, that is the case.
