[ and so after a few weeks of adventuring, dungeon-crawling and general cutthroat trading with NPCs, Hiteihime has gathered quite the inventory. With space in her pouch at a premium, it's high time she began to barter with the other PCs for their rare items, or maybe fob off a few of her unneeded items on those who can use them.

This is of course entirely secondary to her plan to make friends with the entire server, and thus gain information, contacts and favours for when she inevitably gets bored and decides to mess it all up. It's all a bit like hard work to keep up this persona, but honestly it's her best choice. She doesn't have any illusions as to her ability in a fight, but there are other weapons in a lady's arsenal.

A smile is one of them.

I wouldn't mind testing the trading system. I'm interested in becoming very familiar with the workings of this device and how it interacts with this place.

I don't think it's been so long. Regardless, I don't have a great variety of things to trade, nor anything of particular interest. I simply would like to know how the trading system works.

It will be quite different than the "trading" I am familiar with from my own world.

Shall we trade something inconsequential, then?

[He seems amused at using the word 'ideal', but regardless, he initiates a trade, offering an Ohm Shell.]

[ she hmms at the offer, then selects a Turtle Crest in response and hits Accept. ] Is that satisfactory? Of course, I do not know how your world's trading differs.

In my world, Pokemon are traded instead of items. There's the larger sense of the word, which is economic trade, but the term is most often applied to the exchange of the creatures we know to be Pokemon.

You trade... monsters?

For some Pokémon, they say it is a wondrous learning experience, and a grand adventure. But I have also seen those that suffer, and heard the voices of those who can no longer trust.

[A trader? And yet, she doesn't seem like one of those mindless people wandering around... Might as well check it out.]

[Oh, right. Mia's inventory is still pretty empty. Most of it is Health Drinks and Fire Storms.]

You wouldn't happen to have any water items, would you?

Water, hmm? [ she flicks through her inventory screen ] Ah-hah. I might have what you want. These Tidal Waves sound promising...

Ooh, that might work. Crystal Powder [sorry, doesn't exist here] would work if you had any, but that sounds nice.

I have... well, mostly Fire Storms. I ended up with a bit too many after that quest.

[She retrieves her Relic, having at least inferred that it was going to be involved in the process somehow.]
