[Where most people are frantically out and about, trying to find out where they were and what was going on, a strange green-haired boy was sitting on the fountain, inspecting the "relic" he was given.

As he stares, it's clearly more than the curious gaze of the common person. In his mind, he is deconstructing the object, observing how it fits together, what elements make it function. He carefully moves the wire around, seeing how securely it was placed, then dabs his finger on the exhaust pipe to gauge temperature.]

Strange.

[The observation is almost involuntarily expressed, as N isn't apparently looking for anyone to speak to him about it. He runs his fingers over the seams, wondering if it was fit into place or welded. In a very swift and train of thought mutter,]

This shouldn't work.

[N doesn't seem surprised, but he looks perplexed and a bit short with her statement.]

[N isn't quite sure what to even make of that, for a few minutes. With a shake of his head, he decides to assume that you must be intentionally messing with him.]

[ she is actually quiet for a good... twenty seconds? But when it becomes obvious he isn't going to say anything she starts getting nervous, looking around for someone to ask. ]

Oh no, he's not saying anything...did I say something I shouldn't have? Did I do something wrong? W-wa, what should I do?

Um... does that make you sad? [ he seems kinda gloomy. not that the people she usually meets are all that chirpy but there's usually a reason, like war. oh right. ]

There isn't one in Unova. I haven't heard of a war going on.

Oh, that's good then! Unova...? Did they establish another country.

Um...is Unova anywhere near the Queendom of Falena? Maybe I didn't miss the party this time.

I haven't heard of a region named Falena.

I don't know what you mean by "runes". That word has many different possible contextual meanings.
