The First Ideal
[Where most people are frantically out and about, trying to find out where they were and what was going on, a strange green-haired boy was sitting on the fountain, inspecting the "relic" he was given.
As he stares, it's clearly more than the curious gaze of the common person. In his mind, he is deconstructing the object, observing how it fits together, what elements make it function. He carefully moves the wire around, seeing how securely it was placed, then dabs his finger on the exhaust pipe to gauge temperature.]
Strange.
[The observation is almost involuntarily expressed, as N isn't apparently looking for anyone to speak to him about it. He runs his fingers over the seams, wondering if it was fit into place or welded. In a very swift and train of thought mutter,]
This shouldn't work.

[N looks very upset at the thought of it. Uncomfortably, he tugs on the brim of his hat.]
There's no world without those things so long as they have humans in them.
no subject
You can't blame it all on the humans, you know. The demons have their war hawks as well.
[the expressions slips a little though, and he just shakes his head.]
But much of it is our fault, I suppose.

[There's a frustrated tone. He's wondering whether the demons are like Pokemon, and he's fighting the temptation to take their side by default.]

[he's being genuine about all that as well. he certainly hadn't shied away from using yuuri in the past, but he'd never once thought of demons as being monstrous, or somehow lesser beings than humans. and if he had his way -- assuming if ever got out of this place -- he'd have control of all the human lands within a few years, and between him and yuuri, there could be legitimate peace for once.]

[But whatever the explanation behind it, he seems to clamp up and has absolutely no plans of letting out.]

Well, how humans negotiate with each other really depends on your definition of "negotiate".

[N's voice is quiet and slowed at that statement, sounding a bit ashamed.]

The politicians negotiate, and play nice with plotting each others' downfalls. The soldiers "negotiate" with swords and bloodshed. And then occasionally, there's a kind soul who can negotiate a conversation and wish nothing but the best for those they speak to. Those are a bit rare, though.

Team Plasma acted as that. So politicians are the ones who lie and cheat.

[and he offers a smile, slightly self-deprecating and meant to ease.]
I suppose it's only fair to tell you that I'm a politician myself.

He clamps up, looking rather cold and unsure.]

As I said, only most are like that. I like to think I'm doing some good in the world. And I have a friend who could be called a politician, yet he's the kindest person I've ever met.

[It appears to be his excuse, because he's turning right around and starting to walk away, even if he looks a bit distraught at it.]

[but then n is turning his back on him, and he has to steel himself against the disappointment. he's managed for 17 years with little more than belias' company, and he can manage here alone if he needs to. he has his pride, and he's not about to chase anyone down and beg for their trust.
but still, it hurts a little.]
