03. The Warrior of Fire

[Stop by Δ Choosing Unlimited Hand Song today and you may find someone sprawled out on one of the bridges, wearing a pendant or medallion of some sort.

S/he? looks lost, but not in the sense that she doesn't know where she is, but more that this is something she'd been missing for quite some time, and is busy remembering the events of another history.

Too busy, perhaps, to notice a wayward monster? Or are you just curious?]

Oh, a family heirloom! I think those are my favorite, even if they aren't always plot-relevant. Although they usually are.

[Roy comes a bit closer, curious to look at it (if he'll be allowed, of course).]

That is very nice. Plot-relevance or no, that's a fine inheritance.

[He's a bit awkward just for not knowing her family situation. Is inheritance even the right word?]

...Chancellor?

[And you bet he's taking a second look at that amulet as the implications of the word sink in.]

So... if I'm reading this correctly, you're the rebellious older daughter of nobility who left the title and power to your sister in order to live an adventurous life?
greatcleavage: (talky man)

Well, I promise not to make a big deal out of it. [Because she is obviously not interested in having anyone suddenly think different of her because of this revelation.]

How did you come about the lifestyle, though, if I might ask?
greatcleavage: (i disagree with your viewpoint)

At this point, my standards of belief are pretty low. I guess that falling damage roll came up oddly low, huh?

Oh, of course!

[Because if there's one thing that doesn't exist in the fantasy RPG genre, it's fluid dynamics. Roy is totally fine with this explanation.]

But I'm guessing you didn't get the 'stranded on a desert island' route.

[What is she, a bliztball player?]

Ah ha! Now it all falls into place. A romantic life on the high seas!
greatcleavage: (confused)

[personal profile] greatcleavage 2012-09-10 02:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I'm assuming they didn't abuse you too badly or kill you, so how was being taken in by pirates not a romantic adventure on the high seas?
greatcleavage: (talky man)

[personal profile] greatcleavage 2012-09-12 02:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, the concept of a 'romantic' adventure isn't limited to literal romance, but also heroic deeds and exploits in a colorful setting.

Didn't have the good fortune of winding up in the only ship crewed by Chaotic Good pirates, I take it.
