[ Uh oh, looks like Viki's having a sneezing fit. Cue appearing and disappearing repeatedly, teleporting from one warp point to another in no particular order. Yes, all the warp points. ]

Atchoo! [ there she goes again. ]

Atchoo! [ and again-- oh wait, nothing happened this time. Until there's a small rain of potted plants landing around her. ]

...oops. Ooh...I hope I didn't catch a cold. [ because that would be Very Bad. for the safety of other human beings. ]

I'm fine! I've gotten used to it... [ she laughs a bit sheepishly and suddenly takes a few steps back from him. ]

Um...but if I sneeze again you shouldn't be so close, I might teleport you too. And who knows where we'd end up.

Wouldn't you just end up somewhere on your own, then? That doesn't sound like it would be any better.

Oh um... well... [ that's... true, but she's never considered that. ]

It always happens, but I end up meeting more people everytime, so it's okay! Even this time, even if it's different from before...

I suppose if you can just teleport yourself back afterwards, it's not that bad, but what happens if you land yourself in the middle of something dangerous. [as he speaks, he goes about picking up some of the undamaged pots and plants and setting them back on their shelves. the NPC minding the stall didn't seem particularly bothered by the mess beyond a generic scolding it was repeating every so often, but it was something to do with his hands while he spoke, and he didn't really like messes anyway.]

Usually! Though I still haven't been able to get home... [ let's not get into that though. ]

Dangerous...um, I'll be okay, probably.

[he arches an eyebrow skeptically as he gently slides a pot into place on the table.]

With your looks, landing in the wrong place in my world could get you killed by the locals.

[ she watches him put back the pot... oh, she should too. Goes and picks up a mostly intact one. ]

Eh? But why? Do I look funny?

Your hair and eye color. In my world, it's a sign of Demon royalty, and there are still places where the humans don't take too kindly to the Demon race.

Oh... is there war? [ that sounds like... a lot of the conflicts she's seen, smaller conflicts that are a part of something greater. ]

Most of it has died down now [thanks to him, of course], but there are still parts of the world that are a bit behind when it comes to that sort of thing. With any luck, it'll all get better as the years go by and the bigotry dies out with those too old to give it up.

[and if he gets control of all the human countries, then no one on that side could start any fighting back up. and with yuuri's steadfast pacifism, there was no threat there either. between the two of them, world peace was looking like a legitimate possibility.]

...that's good. I'm really glad! [ it's... rather nice that there's no war this time, even if it means she feels more lost than usual and that she doesn't have a goal or any single person to follow. ]

[lavenderglasses]

[there's a pause for a moment, and unsure of what else to add to that, he just turns back to the plant stall with a smile, focusing on arranging those for a moment while he speaks lightly.]

You remind me quite a bit of their king, you know. The Demons.

[uwawa]

E-eh? I...I'm just a small part of something bigger. [ but she's happy to be a part of it. ]

You knew their king?

Mm, he's a close friend of mine. You act a lot like him, and the hair and eye color only helps -- even among the Demon race, double-blacks are extremely rare. There are only three living today, as far as I know.

[uwawa]

...he's also strange and stupid? [ she doesn't mean that as an insult just...uh, she knows that's what she is. ]

Was he the one you were looking for before?

Ah...yes, I was looking for him. The only other double-blacks I'd seen before are his brother and his friend from the place he came from, so I thought you might know him somehow.

[he shrugs, almost like he's embarrassed at his own assumptions -- and he is, in a way. spending some time here, it's become quickly apparent that black hair and eyes are nothing special here, and he's ashamed that he didn't pick up on it sooner.]

He does say strange things often, and he's admittedly not the smartest. But he's kind and genuine, and he honestly wishes for the best for everyone, and though he's not the typical sort of ruler, the world is a better place because of him.
