[so it would probably be smart to be spending his time here leveling up and getting stronger and all that, but kaworu has actually done very little real gaming. most of his time so far has been spent exploring mac anu thoroughly, people-watching and marveling over the little things.

in this case, the "little thing" happens to be the fountain in the center of the city. he's sitting on the edge of it, legs hanging in over the side without care of how wet it was making his pantlegs. he keeps dipping his hands into the water, drawing some out between cupped palms and staring intensely at the liquid as it ran over the sides and back into the fountain. he's been sitting here for quite some time now, so feel free to bother if you're beginning to grow concerned for his mental health -- or if you just want to try shoving him in or whatever, that's cool too.]

[well, right now he seems to be mostly enjoying water for whatever reason, but he looks back over his shoulder with a smile regardless, letting his current handful of water splash back into the fountain.]

[that's a pretty random thing to be asking a complete stranger out of nowhere, even by his standards, but he just shrugs, turning back to the fountain with an easy smile and dipping a hand back into the water.]

It is a testament to mankind's creativity and ability to create, and thus something that should be admired and regarded as a work of art. Why do you ask?

Of course. Roughly 75% of the Earth's surface is covered with with it, about 326 million cubic miles of water. Even if far from the ocean, it would be very difficult to have never seen it before at all.

[but you're probably not as interested in these details as he is. he turns to sit sideways on the fountain ledge, dropping one leg over to the dry side and trailing water as he goes. looking up at riku, he smiles and upcups his hands, careless of how the liquid drips down his shirt sleeves.]

But this is not Earth, and that is what's fascinating. This is all artificial, and yet I cannot find anything that separates it from the real thing.

That's kind of the point, isn't it?

It might be the point, but that does not make it any less impressive. To have gone beyond simply replicating the appearance of water, managing the chill and the wetness and refraction of light through a droplet...the humans who created this place could claim to be gods and not be all that far off.

because honestly, when a god is bored, they're only really interested in doing petty things. the floating pretty boy will just lift a hand to flick his fingers in your direction. brb sending a force at you-- ]

[glad to see someone finally decided to try that! and a god too, at that...wrong sort of god, but whatever.

the fun thing about this place, you see, was that it didn't take away any powers, just threw some new ones into the mix. and while he'd always been careful to keep his own abilities under wraps back home, there was nothing to fear here and no one to hide from.

so yeah, long story short, angels have AT fields. and his goes up the moment he feels something shooting his way, a semi-transparent orange flash in space that sparks as it's impacted. kaworu doesn't move from his seated position, doesn't bother turning around, but he does allow himself a satisfied smirk.]

[ Neku makes a slightly disgruntled noise at that comment, but he shrugs, coming to sit against the fountain as well - though he isn't putting his feet or legs anywhere near that water. Which begs the question... ]

On the contrary, it's quite possible to drown even in something as shallow as a rain puddle. Why, if you were to suddenly fall unconscious somehow, you wouldn't be able to stop yourself.
