[ Considering it's a relatively nice day, Neku has wandered down to the Harbor to watch the shops and ships busily work.

That and mostly relax and stare out at the water. He had considered doing something more productive today, something a bit more helpful to his overall cause but he simply.. ended up sitting on the edge, feet dangling off the edge.

Completely oblivious to the world around him. He may be nodding off at some points too. How convenient. ]

[ it's not like he ever announces his presence whenever he arrives. today, he appears at the harbour on a whim, perhaps lured by the false scent of the water.

... though it kind of reminds him of poseidon, which is annoying. maybe he should leave-- ]

[ .................... well, not before he does this, first.

since he's kind of, you know, asking for it and all. drifting closer to the human sitting on the edge, he gives the back of the boy's spiky hair a look, before flicking his fingers at thin air.

brb sending force at you. would you like to take a swim? ]

[ ... so the ocean kind of looks the same no matter where they are, huh. he has a couple of apples, and is kind of walking down the harbour-front, munching on one of them, just minding his own business. of course, as he's walking, he finds himself jostled slightly by the crowd.

being the perfect size for carry-on luggage kind of has its downsides. an apple tumbles from his paper bag. it'll roll until it hits the hand of a certain boy sitting at the edge of the harbour front. ... whoops. Ivan will just push his way until he follows to where his apple stopped, coming up from behind. ]

[ No, actually, he wouldn't but oh hey, that force startles him enough to fall forward.

Right into the water. I hope you wanted one drenched Neku.

He sputters, quickly scrambling to climb up the edge of the harbor. His clothes and armor are soaked and his usually spiky hair is drenched, clinging flat to his face. ]

What.... the... hell?!

[ oh, looks like his one (1) drenched neku has arrived...

honestly, though, this is kind of fun. and it's interesting how this mortal's hair kind of collapsed like that-- what was holding it up? he considers this for a moment, before flicking his finger again--

... hope you like going back into the water, neku. ]

[ OH FOR CHRIST'S SAKE.

Neku almost yelps, almost, before his feet slide out beneath him, hands slipping, and he's back in the 'water'. It takes him longer to resurface this time, choking on water.

He's positively glaring, looking about for the reason behind this...! ]

[ Neku notices the apple. He's about to pick it up, questioning it, before he sees the other boy. He blinks, not saying anything at first. Oh, he must be the owner of the apple. ]

...Don't worry about it.

[ your reason is floating right where you once sat, looking down on you with evident amusement.

smile smile smile. the fingers he used to flick at you are still poised in mid-air. ]

Oh, you aren't going to climb up again?

[ Neku spots him, the glare hardening. He latches his hands to the edge, hoisting himself back up. ]

What's your problem?

Oh, what's with that tone? It's almost as though you're accusing me of something.

[hedgephones]

[ The glare hardens and he reaches up into his soaking hair to try and flick it out of his face. ]

Whatever. [ Going to ignore you as he's trying to wring his sleeves ]

[ collecting his apple! he wipes it on his shirt for good measure, before looking around a little. despite the earlier crowd, this part of the harbour is very quiet-- peaceful, almost.

... it's just as well that he's been looking for a place to sit and eat his apples in peace. but since you were here first, he pauses for a moment, before smiling in a friendly manner. ]

Is it okay if I sit here?

[ ... guess who doesn't take too well to being ignored?

his eyes narrow for a fraction of a second, before he smiles again. and then he moves back a little, snapping a finger.

water, about a bucket's worth, cascades from above you, neku. drenching #3, yep. ]

[ Neku is about to yelp but the water is already gushing over him. He sputters for a third time, scrambling to sit up more. He rubs his eyes, because okay some got in there. ]

Would you cut it out?!

[hedgephones]

[ Neku hadn't really been busy, and it's not like he didn't mind the company. He's been trying to cope with this entire thing, and Joshua hadn't been helping in the least. ]

I don't mind. [ There's a pause, and Neku glances out at the water again. ] Not like I own this spot.

[revealed]

[ still, though, polite is polite! sitting down quietly, and taking out an apple. ]

It's a nice and quiet spot.

[ munching on his apple thoughtfully for a moment. but somehow, it feels a little awkward, falling silent like this. so he tilts his paper bag in neku's direction. ] Do you want an apple? They're fresh.

[ laughing! ah, that's a good look for you. for some reason, your defiance sort of reminds him of ganymede, a little. irritated, proud. defiant. ]

After I went through all that trouble to smooth out your hair for you? Isn't that a little too ungrateful?

[hedgephones]

[ GOOD FOR HIM, THEN. Neku frowns. ]

That's 'helping'? [ A pause ] Who are you?

[there is a joshua lookalike standing beside you. he's been quiet, so it's a bit questionable as to when he got there, but he's been watching neku curiously for a few minutes, and when the nodding off becomes apparent -- eyes drifting closed seemingly of their own accord, head dropping and breathing growing deeper and more even -- he finally speaks up.]

Is it a good idea to be sleeping there? You might fall in.

[Yep. The moment you start dozing off, he's dripping cold water down the back of your neck.]

Wake up, sleepyhead.

[ WHY MUST EVERYONE -

Neku starts, freezing up, for a lack of a better word. His eyes widen, and he's about to yelp, but that voice makes him more angry than startled. Excuse him as he fumbles forward, but is able to catch himself before falling into the 'sea'.

His hand flies back to his neck, lifting his shirt a bit to try and get the water to drain down and out and - A sharp glare is shooting your way, Josh. ]

What was that for?!

[ That definitely wakes him up from the tiny reverie he had been having.

He nearly starts, but the fact that he's unharmed and right, he's sitting at the harbor, calms him down. Curiously, he looks to the side, mistakenly thinking it's Joshua. He's about to glare and quip back irritably, but after further inspection... Oh. This isn't... A slightly confused frown ]

...Who are you?

[ The sudden greeting causes Neku to jump a bit, quickly twisting his head around to glance back. ]

Don't do that! [ Is his automatic response, having almost fell forward into the harbor from surprise. He hadn't even heard footsteps...! Where did this person come from 8| ... Or maybe he had just been asleep, huh. ]

[ Neku eyes the apples. What. You have more of those? He is a bit curious, glancing at the paper bag as if it has teeth and may bite him. Hm.... ]

Uh, sure, why not. [ He awkwardly nods. He isn't used to non-trolls around here, excuse him ]
