First Snows
[Eventually, the cleric from the wintry lands finds herself overlooking the ocean in the twilight. An island is visible in the distance from where she is standing, and the courtyard behind her is home to a fountain and the regular NPC-run equipment shops.]
[The small device the other man had called a Relic was still somewhat of a mystery to her. She had at least managed to pull out a golden staff. She didn't feel the distinctive power of an Artifact from it, though, so she could only assume it was a normal weapon. There were a few functions that she found still didn't work, as well.]
[That man... she never did get a name from him. He didn't seem like the type for extended interaction, though, even if their encounter had gone favorably.]
[And the orange-haired girl... Arisato? No, it had to be Minako; that just... seemed right. She hadn't really gotten to meet anyone else yet.]
[She thought about what had happened so far... why hadn't she seen a way out of this city?]

Excuse me... Are you lost?
no subject
Oh! No, not really.
[Wait... if he's asking me if I'm lost...]
...you wouldn't happen to know of an exit, would you?
no subject
There are the Gates, but they only lead you out of Mac Anu, nd not out of the game, really. It's frustrating, but I'm sure the GMs will fix it! Someday. Somehow...
no subject
...the... game? And, er, where are these Gates?
no subject
Oh, and Mac Anu's gate is just past the bridge! It's the big glowing circle thing, and that's where you go to move between areas.

[What kind of Psynergy does THAT?!]

You call this amazing?! The fate of Weyard is at stake and I'm who-knows-where away, trapped in a world that doesn't exist?!
no subject
[slkdfjlkajg he said something awful didn't he? aaaaaa]
I- I'm sorry, I didn't know! It's just that we're trapped here for I don't know how long and just worrying about things back home isn't going to help--!!
[somehow managing to say all that in one breath is tiring. he tries again. slower this time.]
I'm sorry, I really am. I don't know how people get here, or how people can get out. I have important things I left behind where I come from, too, but I won't get anywhere if I just sit here and think about them all the time. All that'll do is make me homesick.
no subject
Well, that man with the eyepatch said not to worry, too... [Sigh.] I think you're right. Thank you.
no subject
Eyepatch...? Was he a little grumpy and always talks like he wants you to go away? [he's only curious, but that maybe kind of sounds like the GM Kain.]
no subject
[He did look a little like he was trying to fake it...]

Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wander in on your dramatic background here.
...I really hope that didn't just sound as much like Elan as I think it did.
no subject
No, no, it's fine.
[ooc:was that last part supposed to be audible, or...]
no subject
Everything okay? You look lost... which now that I think about it is a pretty redundant thing to say given where we are and what's happening.
no subject
Yes, I'm fine. And so is everyone else I've seen. I'm not sure I'm going to be needed very much here.
[She isn't really sure what to think of that. On the one hand, everyone is safe; on the other, what is she going to do with her time?]

Sorry, sorry -- I've just never heard a cleric worry about being unneeded before.

But it left him in a strange position. In believing that it was, indeed, his
friendCRUSHFRIEND?!comrade, he had already approached, one arm outstretched, ready to greet them. The noise had already left his lips, the barest beginning of a greeting. And he had no idea who this girl was.
