[in the room where the Chaos Gate is situated crouches a young, blue Twin Blade. He's far enough to one side to be out of the way, but not enough to be easily ignored. See, Sonic liked to be at the center of attention, it feeds that ego of his and well... He just liked to be social whenever fancy struck him.

What he didn't like was the idea of not being able to defend himself.

The fact that he was still a low level Twin Blade certainly did not help with the whole 'independent' thing. Which has led him to the boy crouching by himself moaning about the indignity of it all]

AAAAAAAUGH! I'm not made for RPGs! I can't do this level thing, got knocked out by a goblin. A MOOK! How does that even happen?? I've taken down giant death robots, angry water Gods, gigantic lasers, more killer robots and even more angry Gods and what happens?

[he throws his hands up in the air in exasperation. A few NPCs take this as a cue to exit the stage] A stupid Goblin knocks me out for an hour!

[silence.

...

Then Sonic just covers his face with his hands with a whine, ears folded against his head in embarrassment. In a small, muffled voice;]

I'm sorry, I promise to never do this RPG thing again now can I please go back to being able to beat things up just by jumping on them?

[ Well he was crouching so she's crouching, ok!! Also, being taller than other people is still kind of weird for her. ]

I see..! [ claps hands together! ] Yes, I'm sure that is the case! It would be unfair for a newcomer to be stronger than the residents here..!

I've been here for a little over a month, now!

Really? [blink] How're things for you? I mean, getting used to this place and everything.

Very pleasant, although strange! This world is very different from my own, but it's certainly not impossible to get used to! [ she pauses. ] Ah, but I am not alone, and I think that helps. I've learned enough about this place, and I'm confident that I can answer any questions that a newcomer has!

[ speaking of: ] If you'd like to know something, please, don't hesitate to ask me! I would love to help!

[greaterspeed]

Nah, I've been here a while too. So we're both getting the hang of things. [he grins] Though it's good to hear that you've got a friend around! It's always better to have a friend around.

[adarable]

Ah -- I'm terribly sorry. I assumed.. [ she pauses, and nods. ] Do you have a friend here, sir?

[greaterspeed]

[ 'v'? ] Hm? Oh, don't worry 'bout it! I know they're safe and s'not like this is the first time I've been sent somewhere on my own.

Well, if you're asking if I have any friends from home the answer will be no... But if it's friends made here, I think I'm off to a pretty good start.

Speaking of which! [he smiles at her cheerfully] I'm Sonic! Nice to meet you.

[adarable]

I see. I'm sorry there are no friends from your home, but that you have made friends here is wonderful!

[ she gives her own smile, and if they were standing, she'd curtsy. ] I am Ada Vessalius. It is a pleasure to meet you, Mister Sonic!

[greaterspeed]

[he scratches his ear in embarrassment. He's not very good around polite people tsuns? yes! manners? not so much...] Aaaah, you can drop the 'Mister'. Just call me 'Sonic'!
