Which is why there's one perky red head, wandering around Mac Anu, venturing down by the docks and exploring the town square. She doesn't seem to be in a hurry, but she does seem to be enjoying the nice weather. And if she does happen to see a friendly face, she'll stop and ask them for where she is, and maybe for some information.

And every once in a while, she'll stop, cup her hands over her mouth, and call out a name, usually a different one each time, but all of them just as loud, and at least every other one is Fang.

Someone help the poor lost girl before someone mistakes her for a mental patient?]

[It takes her a moment, but soon her eyes are widening right along with her mouth.]

Hope! Do you know where he is? I need to find him and make sure he's okay.

I could contact him, if he had decided to trust me when we met.

[ Don't worry, Vanille, we're all mental here, and at most, you will only blend in. Though it's convenient that you haven't yet, since he's able to locate you pretty quickly.

It's when Hope's by the Chaos Gate when he hears the first shout; it's vague, but has this strange air of familiarity about it. Then the second one, and another... by the time he's reached the town square, there is no doubt in his mind left.

Mac Anu is crowded, but the bright hair quickly gives the girl away - Hope wastes no time calling out to her, settling for a tap on her shoulder instead. ]

[She was slightly bent over, hands cupped around her mouth, preparing to call out again when she felt the gentle tap to her shoulder. Jumping slightly, she turned around, pig tails swinging with the movement.

Bright green eyes widened with surprise and happiness as she spots him. Congrats, Hope, you now have a Vanille all up in your personal space.]

Hope! You're alright! I was getting worried.

[brightfuture]

[ That's Vanille for you - you'd think she should be the one panicking, not the person who's spent nearly a month here, but there she goes and proves you wrong.

Seeing a familiar face brings a warm feeling in his chest, but it's shortly overwhelmed by confusion. What's going on? Why is she here? It's only now, when he's stopped running and finds himself looking in her eyes, that the obvious questions arise. ]

There was no need to. [ drawing a breath ] H-how... how did you get here?

[That's because she didn't have anything to panic about. Not yet, at least. After all, she was pretty sure that wherever they were, they had all ended up there together, just separated. All she had to do was find all of them so they could figure out what their next step would be.

That freaking out thing will probably happen once you tell her Fang's not there though.]

Don't be silly. [Brushing his shoulders of some imaginary dirt.] Of course I'm going to worry when I don't know where you are. That's what friends do.

Hm... that's a good question. [And pretending to thinking about it.] I have no idea.

[ just so happens that there's another little boy running around. he's not exactly paying as much attention to his surroundings, however. darting from person to person, he seems to be looking for something, though in a decidedly weird manner, which probably makes him look a lot more mental than your usual looney.

for as he draws close to someone, he holds out his hands, closes his eyes, and concentrates.

... it's probably what he's absently doing to vanille right now-- ]

[Okay, so that was a little weird. But Vanille wasn't one to judge! After all, her best friend ran around with a spear and wearing half a dress like it was the most normal thing in the world.

So when she see's him, she'll do little more than make a soft "Oh!" sound, turning her attention to him and bending down slightly.]

What are you doing?

[ oh, good, because one of his friends ran around a desert decked out in a fur cloak. they can commiserate.

her voice startles him out of his reverie! blinking rapidly, he kind of stares at vanille with a dumbfounded look with his face, before quickly lowering his hands. ]

Oh, er... ah!

I wasn't doing anything suspicious, promise! [ aha. aha. ... ha... ] I, didn't see you there.

[Her head cocks to the side, hands coming to rest on her hips as she listens to his explanation.]

You should be more careful. You could have really hurt someone by not paying attention.

[Ryusei was quietly sitting on a crate by the river tinkering with his Relic. He just recently figured out how to work it though, he still doesn't quite know everything about it.](So this is a status screen...this is the friends list...and....what was this again?? Damn, who is making all that noise?!)[Ryusei stops and looks around. He spots a loud red haired girl.](Someone just as loud as Gentaro, heh, never thought I'd see the day.)[A pause](Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt if I help her out.)[Ryusei stands up and walks over to Vanille and taps her on the shoulder.]

Umm, excuse me but is something the matter?

[She jumps lightly at the gentle touch, turning her attention to him. The surprise falls from her face a moment later, replaced with a rather bright smile.]

Oh! I was looking for my friends. I hope I didn't bother you.

(Of course you bothered me.) No, not at all![Ryusei smiles politely]

Who are these friends you're looking for? Maybe I could be of some help?

Well, they're kind of hard to describe. [There's a giggle.]

Hope is a little shorter than me with white hair and green eyes. And Lightning is a little taller than me with pink hair and blue eyes. Sound familiar?

You are looking for Hope? [it could always be just someone with the same name, but it doesn't hurt to see if he can help.]

[She turns her attention to him, a little surprised. But it fades into a smile quickly enough.]

I am! Do you know where he is?

I could not tell you where he is specifically at this exact moment, but he is here somewhere. I have had a few conversations with him myself. [and after a considerate pause:] You are talking about a boy with silver hair and green eyes, correct?

That sounds like Hope alright. [She smiles brightly, happy to know that at least she wasn't the only one who had been pulled away.] Are you a friend of his?

[... Ah right, these aren't school grounds, he can't reprimand her for making such a loud racket.]

You're not getting anywhere calling out like that. [Those are also really weird names.]

[You make it sound like reprimanding her would actually get you anywhere.]

Now, now, you never know until you try. One of them could be near by and hear me calling for them, after all.
