[So for the past few minutes, all Kirino's really done is stand in place to try and mess around with his Relic, seeing what sort of things were available on it. He doesn't really get half of it, but he keeps looking anyway.]

This is so weird... Ugh, I don't have time for stuff like this, I've got important things waiting back home...! [He gives up and puts away the relic. He rubs his temples, trying his best to not look frustrated.]

[Have a nosy little kid being. Then again, he can't help it that he happens to over hear Kirino. That's what he gets for talking to himself out loud.]

Whatever it is, it's gonna have to wait because you can't really do anything about the fact that you're here.

[Kirino sighs, then looks at the kid.] I kind of noticed. Man, so much for playing in that match...

[He shakes his head, deciding it'd be better to just let it go for the moment.]

[A thoughtful 'hm'.]

I'm pretty sure time doesn't move where you're from while you're here.

[At least from his personal experience.]

... Oh. [Kirino's eyebrows shoot upwards at that.]

Well, that's a relief. [He chuckles a bit, smiling sheepishly.]

[Shrugs.]

I don't think most people would know that though. It's not like there's a manual to this place that you can refer to or something.

A manual would be really useful, not gonna lie.

"What To Do When You Suddenly Wake Up In An MMO." Yeah, that'll be a bestseller for sure.

Falls right in there with zombie apocalypse survival guides, I imagine.

Hey, we get zombies here too so I think we're a step above those.

If that's the case, if there's zombie apocalypse survival guides, there should be ones about suddenly waking up in an MMO.

Obviously someone doesn't have their priorities straight!

[He pretends to frown, as if this is a really insulting thing.]

Definitely. [He nods then his eyes widen as he remembers something.] Oh! We never exchanged member addresses last time we saw each other. We should do that.

All right, how do we do that?

You just face your Relics together and it does it automatically. [Yuuta takes his own out and holds it up.]

It certainly isn't an ideal situation, but at least it seems to be a common one here.

[And there's Marth, looking a little helpless himself as he puzzles over his own relic. Nevertheless, he offers a companionable (if not a bit sheepish) smile]

Ah, all right. [Kirino digs out his Relic and holds it up as well.]

[Kirino offers a polite smile in return.]

I guess so. And I suppose the situation could be a lot worse, for that matter. I mean, everyone seems to be safe, right?

Evidently so. In a case like this, it's best to count your blessings and then regroup, is it not?

[A small nod, as if affirming his thoughts, and he turns his eyes back to the relic again.
Medieval prince VS. technology, go!]

Has everyone got one of these, I wonder...?

Yeah, I guess you're right. [Kirino's eyes fell on the other's relic.]

Looks like it. [Kirino pulled out his own and examined it for a moment or two.]

I wonder what it does. [He's resisting the urge to shake it.] Curious thing... I've never seen anything like it.

I played around with mine earlier. It's got a touch screen, I know that much... I'm not sure what everything does yet, though.

...

Touch... screen?

[... This guy didn't know what a touch screen was? Kirino quickly dismissed the thought.]

Here, I'll show you. [With that, he turned around, tapping things on the screen of the relic.] Basically, if you want to choose something, you just gently tap on it on this screen, like this.

Tap it, and then... ah! [Marth's eyes light up at this new discovery ~~IT'S A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE.~~]

Astounding! Is this some sort of magic trick?

[Tap tap... tap tap tap tap tap...]

Well, not really.

I don't really know the technology behind it, since that's not my area of expertise.

Oh, right! I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Kirino Ranmaru. It's nice to meet you. [Kirino bowed politely.]

Ah, yes, I'm sorry... I'd gotten a bit carried away there, hadn't I.

[Putting the relic away, Marth bows back, with that little extra flourish he'd been taught to use since childhood. A nobleman's sort of movement.] A pleasure to meet you as well, Kirino. I am Marth.

[And lo and behold, Yuuta's name should now be on Kirino's contact list.]

Now we can make parties!

Parti--OH. Oh. [... Seems like someone had a derp moment.]

[A little slow on the uptake there, huh. Yuuta just stares ~~and tries not to judge~~. It's okay Kirino-nii, he will teach you about video game dynamics.]

So we can go explore dungeons and stuff.

[~~It was just a blonde moment, shush.~~ Kirino nods.]

Though, I probably need to get more acquainted with this town before I wander anywhere...

That's a good idea, actually. [Nice to see he at least has common sense.] This place is pretty standard though, so it shouldn't be too hard.

All right, that's good.

If you do want to team up and do something though, you do that through here. [Quickly, he shows Kirino how to invite people into a party.]

Ah, okay, thanks a lot! [Kirino grins a bit.] I really appreciate your help.

It's no problem. I've been here before so I don't see why I shouldn't help other people.
