two.
[ The area for today's show is Beloved Past's Paradise! While you can spot low-level monsters prancing around here and there, it appears to be an otherwise peaceful place, even if a bit cold. Excellent for training if you don't feel too confident about your abilities. ]

A)
[ There is something unusual about this little fighter.
Honestly, what's the matter with these spells? Although elemental in nature, they do not resemble those of a Shadow Warlock at all... not to mention their user appears rather distraught about their strength - or lack thereof. While the sparks of fire and lightning might seem impressive, they do little damage to approaching enemies... whoops. And to think that they worked so well back in his world...! ]
Thundara--!
[ Sit down and watch this desperate Harvest Cleric deny his class allegiance, or - if you're so kind, join him in his struggle against goblins. Your pick! ]

[ And should you find yourself wounded, worry not! Here's a sneaky Cure spell going your way, because Repth is so overrated. It's not nearly as effective as the original spells of The World, but the thought counts, right? ]

Oz refuses to sit and, instead, will come to to stand slightly behind you.
Say, how stupid can you be??? Are you planning on stopping any time soon? No? ]
Good thing your hair is kind of white already, huh?
no subject
Except not really, and you might end up being shoved quite hard if you're not careful enough, since Hope quickly jumps backwards to further the distance between him and his targets. ]
... again? [ huffing from exhaustion AND NOT STOPPING, NEVER~ ] Don't... interrupt--!
no subject
Good thing Oz was not standing close enough, or only close enough that he could side-step you. Really, he looks like he is in a particularly sucky haunted house and you are a fat men wearing a drag costume ]
I'm not planning to [ LIES ] Say, how long have you been dancing aruond here?
(no subject)
A
Although maybe he should offer some encouragement.]
You can do it! They don't look so tough!
no subject
[ huuuff] Uh... thanks? [ but who knows if the boy even heard it. There comes the next one! ]
F-Fire! [ totally... missing... (what was concentration, again?) There's a quiet yelp. ] ...Fire--!

The question of whether the ones going for the swordsman or the ones trying to attack the cleric were smarter might have popped up at some point]
Hyaa!

A half of him makes the boy watch Link's moves with silent awe, the other being irritated with the sudden intervention. It's not surprising they manage to get rid of the weaklings fast, but it's not long until a new pack looms on the horizon. ]
[ Hope doesn't move right away, though, seeming a little breathless
... and unsure, maybe. ] Who are you?
no subject
Link turns to look at Hope, a bit confused if the slightly wide eyed look was any indication. It takes a second for him to realize the reason for the question (tall ears weren't all that common here, were they? Link had hardly seen another Hyrulean, let alone Hylian, walking the streets of Mac Anu)]
Link, from the Ordon Province. [a reassuring smile] You looked like you needed a hand.

That doesn't look good. He's outnumbered!
[He quickly drew out his gauntlets and prepared to rush over but, he remembers their initial conversation and pauses. Ryusei thinks about what course of action he should take. After, he crouches down in some tall grass to hide.]
(Do your best Hope.)
[Ryusei observes the fight from a safe distance, ready to jump out and strike if needed.]

Watera!
[ The spell reaches the entire group, but rather than summoning a tide, it does as much as sprinkle the goblins with water, leaving an opening for the monsters to strike-- ]
Ah! [ It's nothing in terms of damage - just a tiny scratch on the arm, but it gives a beginning to a completely new kind of desperation. Hope falls back, swiping at the target with the most terrifying weapon possible.
... his wooden staff. This has to work! ]
no subject
...
Nope. Probably not. He's gonna killed at this rate, Ryusei leaps out from the grass and swats the goblins away with a series of punches and kicks.]
Are you alright?!

A

Ivan--!
[ Ugh, it's his battle, or at least was...
... but as things stand, he might really have trouble fending away, much less killing his targets. Swallowing his pride (albeit hesitantly), he runs towards the other boy. ]

Support?
The difference is little, but given the monsters' low levels, it provides enough boost for him to take the two stubborn goblins out with a couple more elemental spells. That's still an exhausting task, however, and the boy falls to his knees when he's finished, breathing heavily. ]

Which, normally, for your normal, every day person who is not Vanille, would be reason enough to grab his hand and run the other way.
What she does instead if clap every time a spell lands before sending off one of her own.]
Way to go, Hope! I'm sure together we can take them!
A
that is, by hitting one of the goblins with her staff. '-'b this.. works... right........ no it doesn't, but she tried anyway? ]

and it doesn't work. At all. ]
Ah, no, wait... -- watch out!
[ There's an elemental spell flying just inches away from you, hitting the monster that you so badly wanted to get rid of - one that doesn't really damage the goblin, either, but hopefully buys a few seconds.
Hopefully, because it also earns Hope a quite solid kick from one of the monsters. Who's saving who now? ]
