First Memory

[Mac Anu]

[First, he takes an admittedly strong and perfectly formed roundhouse to the head. Like that wasn't bad enough. Then, the next thing he knows, he's in this completely unfamiliar place that looked a lot more friendly than Japan (or what was left of it), with new clothes and the only things linking him from his current state of mind and the memories he wished he remembered, gone.

If that wasn't enough to piss him off, it would be a godsend.

Of course, he was pissed. And it shows as he wanders around the place, completely confused despite getting some idea of what was going on. Didn't change how confused he was, or the fact that two plus two equaled seventeen right now. Yeah, he's a little slow on the uptake sometimes. But he's an honest guy. Especially when he vents his frustrations in the middle of public like it was nobody's business.

Like right now. At the top of his lungs.]
Ugh... What a giant load of crap!

03. The Warrior of Fire

[Stop by Δ Choosing Unlimited Hand Song today and you may find someone sprawled out on one of the bridges, wearing a pendant or medallion of some sort.

S/he? looks lost, but not in the sense that she doesn't know where she is, but more that this is something she'd been missing for quite some time, and is busy remembering the events of another history.

Too busy, perhaps, to notice a wayward monster? Or are you just curious?]

02. The Fire-Powered Motorcycle

[An item appeared in Faris' inventory with some fanfare. She had, luckily for her, won that raffle from the other night and had received the spoils.

When she retrieved it, it turned out to be a loud, large motorcycle-like vehicle. However, she has not seen a motorcycle in her life. Ancient Egyptian Ronkan laser beams she could handle. Not this.

Having figured that maybe she could ride it, she got on and immediately started going way too fast. Mac Anu is a small city so it's only a matter of time before she runs into something... or someone.

In short, there is now a purple-haired androgyne barreling at you at high speed. What do?

(Yes, "hitch a ride" is a valid and hilarious option. Please do!)]

[Stepping out of the Chaos Gate is one grey-skinned alien kid. He's looking around curiously now, which is for the better; when he gets out of the glow of the Gate, well--]

[--Too late.]

[He fidgets out of reflex, accidentally dropping the heavy tome previously tucked under his arm. It falls to the cobblestone ground with a soft whump, but he doesn't seem to be very concerned; instead, instinct is telling him to get the hell out of there, because wherever he went, the sun hadn't gone down yet. ...But it only takes a second for him to realize that his skin isn't peeling, his hair isn't burning, his eyes haven't imploded upon themselves; he's alive. He's standing in the sun, and he's alive.]

[Sollux huffs and collects himself, looking back down at the book next to him on the ground; and likewise, at the new outfit he'd somehow gained for himself. Where he had just been was a bizarre, alien place; the spinning ring, the aliens wandering all over the place. And before that, he had squared off with Douchefin McGee. Was this all Eridan's doing? Did he actually succeed for once, with his shitty excuse for magic? Unlikely. Sollux refused to believe it. There was no reason Eridan would want to send him somewhere else, they were in the middle of a duel. You're supposed to fight in a duel! Even if Eridan was a spineless, overgrown grub, Sollux could only assume he knew that much.]

[...Which was all fine and dandy, but it still didn't answer the question of what the fuck just happened. Sigh. Without bothering to pick a direction, Sollux picks up the grimoire and starts walking.]

[Well, this is a dilemma.

He was fairly certain he didn't pass through a Gateway. He had absolutely no reason to when he was certain they have been sealed now. However, it was clear that he somehow did on his way to deliver a message to Sieg, because how else could he have ended up in a completely unfamiliar place like this? Not to mention, whichever gate he must have entered in wasn't in this city despite him not recalling any other place, because he can't seem to get out at all. At least, not the first ten times he had tried crossing the gate he saw.

And he was running late. It was unforgivable for him to be this late.]
I should have been more careful. If I had just kept in mind the possibility that the Gateways were still open, I wouldn't have let my guard down.

[But what can he do now?

Soon enough, he may approach the closest person he sees, deciding that the best way to go about this is well... not to panic.]

Pardon me, but could I request some assistance?

[Usually Shirou would have thought about this long ago. However, between the very odd world that he was in, and the fact that somehow a week had disappeared in the blink of an eye, literally, it had taken him about a month or so before the thought of level grinding occurred to him. He had been busily spending most of his time beforehand exploring the town, fields and dungeons and understanding the leveling system and weapons.

Now armed with a fairly good understanding of the leveling system, it was time to actually gain some levels. He wanted to reach level 20 as soon as possible so he could access his cell phone and check the status of his demons and abilities. There was a slight problem though... The Shadow Warlock class was magic based, and he probably didn't have the Repel Physical skill equipped, so if he went alone, things would get nasty fast. He would have to find some party members to grind with.

Today, you may be approached by the blue eyed Shadow Warlock, who was going around asking everyone the same question.]

Would you like to join me in level grinding?

[ The area for today's show is Beloved Past's Paradise! While you can spot low-level monsters prancing around here and there, it appears to be an otherwise peaceful place, even if a bit cold. Excellent for training if you don't feel too confident about your abilities. ]

[ scenarios: ]

[ There is something unusual about this little fighter.

Honestly, what's the matter with these spells? Although elemental in nature, they do not resemble those of a Shadow Warlock at all... not to mention their user appears rather distraught about their strength - or lack thereof. While the sparks of fire and lightning might seem impressive, they do little damage to approaching enemies... whoops. And to think that they worked so well back in his world...! ]

[ Sit down and watch this desperate Harvest Cleric deny his class allegiance, or - if you're so kind, join him in his struggle against goblins. Your pick! ]

[ And should you find yourself wounded, worry not! Here's a sneaky Cure spell going your way, because Repth is so overrated. It's not nearly as effective as the original spells of The World, but the thought counts, right? ]

♞ 001

[Roberto will tell you what he does not remember doing: changing clothes, going into a Gateway to another world, somehow obtaining new clothes and a weapon? And the device in one hand blinking a cheerful touch me up at him is not helping improve his mood any.

He’s tried circling around the Chaos Gate for some time now, staring at it, thinking that it somewhat resembles a Gateway but. He’s already tried walking closer, into it, and nothing’s happened. Does he have to find a Wanderer in this world or something? (It does not even occur to him to use the relic, of course. He is suspicious.) His eyebrows are furrowed with deep displeasure and there’s a scowl fixed on his face.

He shoves the relic in a pocket and goes about exiting the building wherein the Chaos Gate is contained. He stares at the city and the landscape before him, frowns some more, and heads toward the bridge. Either way, whether it be just outside the building, the bridge, or in the square of Mac Anu itself, you may find yourself victim to a jarring]

Hey, you! [because what are manners when you have questions.]

◎ Act 1

[in the room where the Chaos Gate is situated crouches a young, blue Twin Blade. He's far enough to one side to be out of the way, but not enough to be easily ignored. See, Sonic liked to be at the center of attention, it feeds that ego of his and well... He just liked to be social whenever fancy struck him.

What he didn't like was the idea of not being able to defend himself.

The fact that he was still a low level Twin Blade certainly did not help with the whole 'independent' thing. Which has led him to the boy crouching by himself moaning about the indignity of it all]

AAAAAAAUGH! I'm not made for RPGs! I can't do this level thing, got knocked out by a goblin. A MOOK! How does that even happen?? I've taken down giant death robots, angry water Gods, gigantic lasers, more killer robots and even more angry Gods and what happens?

[he throws his hands up in the air in exasperation. A few NPCs take this as a cue to exit the stage] A stupid Goblin knocks me out for an hour!

Then Sonic just covers his face with his hands with a whine, ears folded against his head in embarrassment. In a small, muffled voice;]

I'm sorry, I promise to never do this RPG thing again now can I please go back to being able to beat things up just by jumping on them?

[In the absence of anything else to do, Quistis has been taking a lot of walks around the town. She doesn't appear to have any particular destination in mind, and her only reasons for taking these walks are so that she doesn't become too bored and that she becomes more familiar with what is for now, her home.

And, well, meeting people isn't a bad thing either. If she walks around enough, who knows how many interesting people she'll meet?]

Ϟ first dose of bullshit.

[ So a quarter is stuck into the slot and the game is reset. That much is a given. But the game itself..

.. well, it took a turn for the strange. For one, it wasn't just him roaming through the lands filled with monsters. It's bustling with people; NPCs, Dave imagines. He'd walk around aimlessly for a good hour to catch his bearings, completely oblivious to the weird looks he gets along the way. It takes a while, but he finally realizes his clothes are.. different. Fuck the pajamas, the Game Masters said. You're going to wear something straight out of Sailor fucking Moon.

After a few good minutes of losing his shit with everyone bearing witness, he realizes that he can pull this off with the finesse only befitting of a Strider. ]

Now if only I figure out how to exchange this oversized wand.

[ This is when someone other than a NPC should look at him weird and decide to tell him he's stuck with the stave. ]

01. Reflections upon the waves.

[ Ah, another game and another chance to lose. It was all tugging at Rose Lalonde's cloaked collar; an obvious weight that nearly caused the collected and refined girl to lose her cool. As she had traversed through Mac Anu, learning as much as she could and memorizing the intricate pathways leading to each specific shop, she continued to seek out more.

At the very most, Rose refused to be 'lost' here.

Tugging her over sized book upon a thin silk strap against her shoulder, the pale girl continues onward. A moment or two passed until her bright eyes landed upon the docked ship.

She would glance around, seek an answer for a question she hadn't even asked yet. With a soft clear of her voice, among the few strangers that lurked the area, she spoke. ]

Pardon me for the intrusion, but does anyone have a clue of if this ship is set to sail or is it merely a decorative piece?

[ She noticed the rust upon the spikes that dug into the chain links which held the ship in place. It looked as if it hadn't left the dock in quite sometime. ]

Or at the very least, where it leads to on its voyage?

[ Curiosity killed the cat, it seemed, or perhaps it would give it some proper closure or allies. ]

01. The Pirate

[In a less-in-the-way spot in the city, there was one more person that had no idea what was going on. And yet, it didn't seem like they were confused, either.]

[So she'd fallen through the Interdimensional Rift into another world entirely. Into a city that definitely had some sort of fascination with water, although quite possibly not as much as Walse.]

[But the different clothes and sudden lack of anything valuable?]

[No true pirate could stand for that. At least this had happened after saving all of existence.]

[Approach the ambiguously-gendered captain?]

First Rose ❀

[Mac Anu certainly has been busy lately with all the confused people running around, and Euphie has been no exception. She's wandered out of the Chaos Gate already, head looking every which way for anyone she might recognize. But the more she looks, the more distressed she looks.

The fashions weren't anything she recognized from Japan or Britannia. Hell, that giant hat on her head isn't anything she owns. And the people and peculiar creatures wandering around...

This Princess ain't in Kansas anymore.

It isn't until she's reached the center square that she decides to reach out to someone. Anyone. Wishing desperately that Suzaku or even her brother were here.]

Excuse me. I'm sorry, but I can just have a minute of your time?
