It was mostly tedious. I barely had enough range with my weapon at the time to hit the monster without it being able to reach me, so I wasn't harmed at all during the fight itself. I had expected to run into a horrible monster and die quickly, but I was lucky enough to not only defeat the creature, but also get a valuable weapon in return.

Of course, since it was a place like this, I wouldn't have died permanently even if I hadn't been so fortunate.
