I: detail assessment and planning

[ Location: Weapon Shop at the Mercenary district.

Lu Xun is looking at the weapons displayed, seemingly browsing through the shop's inventory of blades, spears, fans, tombs in wonderment. It's not the first time he's been here to look at the weapons like this but he's finally saved up (grinded) the money to buy a stronger weapon to replace the ones he's currently using, or just ... a weapon for when he further levels up.

Should anyone step into the shop, Lu Xun will look up and nod a greeting - or actually greet them if they've met before - before looking back to one of these three weapons: twin blades, thoughtfully; battle fans, hesitantly; guns, curiously. ]

[He can't afford them yet, no, not when he focused too much on leveling up and too little in actually earning more than necessary, but the weapons here do look like they'd be more useful than the ones he had equipped. Still, it won't hurt to look around for potential wares right?

And that's when he notices his choice of weapons.]

Why fans?

[ He wasn't expecting a question, to be honest. It's not that he doesn't think fans can be used, it's just ... he's never had the experience back home, or dared to compare himself to the two Lady Qiaos...

Lu Xun gives a small almost-wry smile as he explains, ] The twin fans are the specified weapon for one of my assigned roles in this world. Though the skills are useful, I'm not very confident in the art of using them. [ Both to fight and dance. ]

[At least by now, he's finally researched as much as he could about the place. Going in completely clueless was rather reckless even for him, even if it did take him a while to actually do that. The culture shock he experienced was rather worth it at least. What class... Ah.]

The macabre dancer, am I correct? [But he said just one role so---] What's your other role?

[ aphrodi's just been doing some window shopping, really. having been saving up via doing the monster-killing thing, he figures that he might as well get a good sense of what's out there to buy before he spends any of his hard-earned money. it's why he steps into this particular weapon's shop with curiosity.

the greeting isn't entirely expected. nodding acknowledgement back out of reflex, he blinks for a moment, standing by the door, before smiling a little smile. being a steam-gunner, he makes a beeline for the gun selection, and begins browsing...

after a while, he takes out his own gun from his inventory, as though to compare the models. ]

[ Lu Xun nods, then indicates the pairs of twin blades. There's a quirky smile on his lips as he considers the weapons. ] A twin blade; it is the weapon I'm most familiar with.

And you?

[firetrap]

[ Lu Xun looks over curiously, at the guns in the shop and at the gun in the other person's hands. He asks without even thinking, ]

Are you a gun-user?

[resipiscence]

[ oh-- a the question, he looks up. ]

Not by choice. [ a bit of a chuckle, here. and he holds up his own gun model. ] But that's the class I was assigned, yes, though I'm not sure if it suits me.

Tribal Grappler, though it seems I am also what you would call a Blade Brandier. [He gestures to the sword he had, which was pretty much the most basic of them.] I assumed that the classes they gave us were related to our skills, but you don't seem too sure.
