This is--

This is--!!

[so. he glitched out for a few weeks and now? he's respawned in Lumina Cloth.

Lumina Cloth.

it wasn't there yet when he glitched out, so now he's in utter shock (and excitement, he just hasn't realized it yet) and staring at the city by one of the warp points.]

[BBS;text (sometime in the evening)]
O M G

WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN???????

ooc; hi i'm back; will slowly get to old tags ;u;
failedrescue: (Manga: Chaaaaarge!!)
[Up for leveling up in a grassy field? So was Asad, especially since training hard is also a requirement for a soldier even if he was stuck here.

Though he couldn't quite say the same about dancing, which is what he was attempting now. Dancing. In the middle of a field. It was sad how he keeps messing up before he could actually finish a spell against the monster though.

It takes him two more tries before he finally gets it though, just narrowly avoiding getting attacked by his target.]
Gan Bolg!

[Not that it was much help. He lets out a frustrated sound at that and proceeds to just hit him with his fan, folding it close and whacking it until it disappears.

Right, that was yet another embarrassing experience.]

All right. Let's try this again! Perhaps I should start with my left this time.

[Hopefully, no one witnessed his less than impressive moves.]

isolates: (if we did it like this)
[Yuuta's sitting on the edge of the fountain beside Takeshi. The two of them have their heads put together and it seems like they're studying something that Takeshi is holding. If anyone were to walk by, they might overhear the two of them talking amongst themselves.]

See, here, it was different for me. I went home after this point and stayed there for awhile before turning up here again.

[Takeshi frowns, puzzled.] Really? I wonder why that didn’t happen to me. I’d like to have gone home, too. I’m worried about Sumire-chan...

[He trails off for a moment, then points at the one of the notes he’d been taking on his Relic. It might be nonsense to some, but it would definitely make sense to people who’ve been in The World before.] Oh, you find this weird too, right? This is the last place I remember going, but I can’t seem to access Lumina Cloth anymore!

Yeah, I noticed that too! [Yuuta taps his chin as he thinks.] I wonder what made the World change like that so suddenly. The BBS disappeared too. I kinda miss that.

I miss it too. It was way easier to contact people with the BBS for parties and dungeon crawling and events... [Takeshi sighs and his shoulders slump down, looking like he’d been dumped by the girl he loved the most (which he’d really rather not happen, actually).]

I talked to one of the GMs, though. Kain. He said there was something like budget cuts and company... things that happened. Couldn’t get more than that from him, though.

[Yuuta frowns. He guesses that would make sense although the timing is still bugging him a little.] By the way, did your levels get cut too or was that just me because I went home?

Mine got cut too! I was almost 10 the last time, but then it got cut in half. [He notes this down. The list just keeps getting longer and... messier; Takeshi wasn’t very organized and his notes on the difference between the first version and this one was all over the place.] At least it’s pretty easy to get them back. I’m almost 20 this time.

[The state of the notes is actually getting on Yuuta’s nerves. He’s naturally neat and organized so it’s easy to see why but despite his giant want to fix them, he tries to ignore it.] I guess ‘cause we’re used to it by now. If you think about it, we’ve been here ages.

Ugh, don’t remind me! I already feel like a grandpa, and I’m just 20!

[Well, this is a dilemma.

He was fairly certain he didn't pass through a Gateway. He had absolutely no reason to when he was certain they have been sealed now. However, it was clear that he somehow did on his way to deliver a message to Sieg, because how else could he have ended up in a completely unfamiliar place like this? Not to mention, whichever gate he must have entered in wasn't in this city despite him not recalling any other place, because he can't seem to get out at all. At least, not the first ten times he had tried crossing the gate he saw.

And he was running late. It was unforgivable for him to be this late.]
I should have been more careful. If I had just kept in mind the possibility that the Gateways were still open, I wouldn't have let my guard down.

[But what can he do now?

Soon enough, he may approach the closest person he sees, deciding that the best way to go about this is well... not to panic.]

Pardon me, but could I request some assistance?

[ Off in the corner of town, near the edge that lead towards the towering gate, resided a small pub. The stout owner and his lanky wife were kind enough to serve drinks and food to newcomers the first crowd of the evening. Luckily, Rose was among the first dozen to arrive during dinner hours. A nice warm meal was welcomed and the fact it was discounted? Excellent. Each spare currency went towards equipment and potions.

But, maybe she would be lucky? After overhearing a few NPCs speaking about gambling, Rose invited herself into the conversation. It lead to a deal: a nice game of cards. Rose had no clue how to go about it. What were the rules? The stipulations? The risks? Ah, but, that was the art itself, correct?

Bluffing.

So here Rose was, sitting with her deck in hand looking over at the other players around the mahogany table. Her fingertips pressed into the torn stock cards, eyeing her pieces as if trying to complete a puzzle.

Bystanders, passerbys, or fellow players, Rose would love some conversation to toss away the jitters and nervousness she obviously does not show. ]

I'll raise once more and we can see where that will take us, hm?

[another day in Mac Anu, though the sun seems to be...a bit more vibrant and bright. for some reason. who knows.

but for those roaming about, you may come across posters on various walls of the city, through all the districts, and maybe even tacked to a couple shop doors. it's an advertisement for a new guild; each drawn by hand.

you see: it had taken a bit of time, but Amaterasu had finally gotten about to creating her own guild in The World. and now she plans on getting the word about it to everyone who may be looking for a guild - or, even those in one, a secondary place for them to come to if they would so desire. the treasury is stocked full of various items gathered from her adventures. it was all set up.

now to recruit!

scenario a. it doesn't really matter where you may be, whether it's outside the warp gate area, the main fountain area of Mac Anu, or one of the other districts of the city. Amaterasu is there with a pleasant smile on her face, looking quite pleased and happy. did you happen to see the posters about the city?

are you interested in joining the guild? or maybe you just want to make some small talk. well, whichever. she'll be happy.

scenario b. on the bridge the connects the Chaos Gate to the Town Square, there is a grunty sitting on the rail and just relaxing. occasionally reaching to the bag at its side and pulling out a meat bun to partake in the joys that is eating.

this dog ears, red marked little grunty really should be doing some advertisement for the guild and getting people to join. but. eh, that can come later. it's quite happy enough to just sit there and enjoy the view.]

[ John stammered back. An almost lightness to his step. The flick reaper armor was much too big for him and he looked displaced and awkward in it. He was trying to sort things out. John moved in animated and almost cartoon like motions as he paced (he wished he could float) nervously. His steps a little too wide, his arms swinging a little too widely. Think John, think. ]

[ He does a quart turn. A fist turned side wards slammed into an open palm when he figures it out. ]

I'm in the wrong video game!

stupidshinji: (♛ can't even cry)
[ It takes awhile, getting used to light again, when the last thing Asuka remembers is a dark sky and an even darker sea, sand beneath her back and a wide-eyed Shinji staring at her. But she doesn't awaken to his face, but rather a slew of unfamiliar ones, coming and going, coming and going. She blinks a few times, sits up and instinctively presses a hand to her forehead. Dizzy. She gives herself a few more minutes before trying to rise. Everything is unsteady. Everything is unfamiliar.

She already hates it.

Once she's (relatively) certain of her footing, she hobbles upright, loose bandages wound around her head and arms shifting. Tries to ascertain where she's been taken. She opens her mouth to speak, but no words come out. Her throat feels hoarse. Everything is still fresh in her mind. Unit 02...

Her attention is immediately drawn to the bright ring in the corner of the room, and without even thinking, she steps through it. The world disappears in a flash, replaced by a bustling city. She should be surprised, but isn't. Too tired to care. Dully, her one good eye crawls to the friendly sign posted in front of her. ]

Mac Anu, huh?

[ Answers. That's what she needs. So the next unfortunate soul is getting tripped from behind with an insistent boot shoved into their back as soon as they hit the ground. ]

Hey, you. You're going to answer a few questions for me, got it?

[ She sounds like she means business. Probably not a good idea to argue. ]

[ Ah, another game and another chance to lose. It was all tugging at Rose Lalonde's cloaked collar; an obvious weight that nearly caused the collected and refined girl to lose her cool. As she had traversed through Mac Anu, learning as much as she could and memorizing the intricate pathways leading to each specific shop, she continued to seek out more.

At the very most, Rose refused to be 'lost' here.

Tugging her over sized book upon a thin silk strap against her shoulder, the pale girl continues onward. A moment or two passed until her bright eyes landed upon the docked ship.

She would glance around, seek an answer for a question she hadn't even asked yet. With a soft clear of her voice, among the few strangers that lurked the area, she spoke. ]

Pardon me for the intrusion, but does anyone have a clue of if this ship is set to sail or is it merely a decorative piece?

[ She noticed the rust upon the spikes that dug into the chain links which held the ship in place. It looked as if it hadn't left the dock in quite sometime. ]

Or at the very least, where it leads to on its voyage?

[ Curiosity killed the cat, it seemed, or perhaps it would give it some proper closure or allies. ]
