[Jane tiptoes around the gate, eyeing it like it’s about to jump out and attack her. With all her ties to her various allies (and potential murderers) cut, she’s feeling a little off-kilter. Whether this is the thing that brought her here or the thing that will get her out, she doesn’t feel like jumping into it will have any bearing on her tight-assery. After all, it’d be just ludicrous to jump headfirst into it when she doesn't know what it does.

Unless her dad’s in there.

Jane grips her cheeks (the ones on her face, geez!), groaning a little. Whatever is she meant to do now?]

[A little to the left Jane might spot this winged boy making a similar face at the gate, though he seems more frustrated than anything.]

Gaaaah, none of these level names make any sense! I don't even know what some of these meeeaaa-aaa-aaan...

Maybe they aren't meant to mean anything? Sometimes video games are just silly, and there's nothing wrong with a little silliness!

I like silliness as much as anybody else, but I don't think I can even pronounce these ones. I wonder if harder words means harder levels...?

[She giggles. She wasn't totally serious about that, but it's nice to see he's cheered up so quickly. She shakes his hand.]

Jane. It's nice to meet you, Pit. I have to say, the people here have been so very friendly! Not that I'm complaining, of course! It's just a shock that I haven't met a single person I didn't like, hoo hoo.

Heh, well! I'd like to think that everybody here is in this together, but there are probably a few people running around that don't think that way. One guy in particular, actually-- I guess you could call us twins? He's more of a grumpy-guts than most of us, ha ha!

[She pauses, suddenly realizing something.]

He...doesn't happen to have orange wings, does he?

Orange? Nahh, he's more of a black-and-purple kinda guy. Not so much evil, but he's really into the whole "Dark" thing, heh.

I'd sure like to see somebody with orange wings, though! That sounds pretty awesome!

My friend Davesprite has some rather nice ones! I haven't asked him the story behind them yet, but I'm sure it's exciting and not so "dark", hoo hoo.

May I ask what your story is?

O-oh! Um-- you mean about the wings or the whole thing? I'm pretty sure it's in some manual somewhere, but I haven't been able to check, ha ha!

Well, no, it's not that... it's just that I've always had them, so I never really thought about it! Just about everybody's got wings where I come from.

Oh! Silly me. That's definitely not the case where I come from, though! Your home must be fascinating.

It's definitely something else, heh heh! Keeps you on your toes~ but hey, I bet your home's just as interesting in its own way, right?

Maybe, yes. Meteors were involved, at least. And if my friends are right, it might have all been a trick played on us anyway. I appreciate a good trick, don't get me wrong, but when lives are on the line I think I rather prefer the straight-forward nature of a game like this!
