02 Wandering Meteor (Hidden Eternity's Two Wings)

[If you went to "Hidden Eternity's Two Wings", you'd be greeted by a beautiful sunset and grasslands bathed in golden light. The water looks like melted gold as it reflects the light, the rhythmic sounds of the waves as they crash on the shore, and the warm breeze embracing you. If you close your eyes and listen, you would hear the sounds of combat in the distance. Upon further investigation, you would find Ryusei fighting a group of goblins by himself. He seems to have taken some damage, but his foes aren't fairing too well either.

Will you help him, or watch and see how things unfold?]

[To be honest, she hardly even noticed the scenery. And once she heard that combat noise, well...

Put plainly, Ryusei may notice one of the goblins seems to be taking damage from a distance. Looks like there's a Steam Gunner helping out/possibly kill stealing, it's kind of hard to tell.]

[Who wouldn't notice a goblin suddenly taking damage. It surprised him but he welcomed it.](I'll find out who it is after I've taken care of these guys.)[He goes into his combat stance and attacks the closest goblin with a open palm strike to the chest then a roundhouse kick to the second.]

[After getting shot so many times, one of the goblins eventually peels away from the group to go after the Steam Gunner. But by then, it's too late.

Not even reacting with a fraction of surprise, she merely backs up and continues to calmly shoot at it until its health is low enough, finishing the monster off with her only special: Thorn Shot. While she doesn't have nearly the same range she's used to, she can still take care of monsters easily enough so long as she can maintain a distance.

Which is why she will begin shooting at another goblin still hanging around Ryusei.]

[Ok, he thought that it was back up at first but now he knows someone is moving in on his prey.]

(As if I'll let you!)

[Ryusei puts away the gauntlets and pulls out his scythe. He twirls it above his head and quickly brings the blade down on the goblin with the lowest health. Another comes from behind him with it's sword raised but Ryusei shoves him away by striking it with the other end of the scythe, then uses "Wicked Strike" to finish it off.]

[...Well, so much for those experience points. But whatever, the guy made it out alive, and she did get at least some EXP for the one she managed to kill.

Don't mind her just... starting to walk away. Talk about rude!]

[After dispatching the goblins, Ryusei scans the scenery trying to find the mysterious shooter.]

Where are you?

[He spots someone in the distance brandishing a gun and walking away.]

Hold it!

[ He places his under his arm, the blade hovering a few inches from the ground with the blade and gives chase. He eventually catches up, given that's she's only walking away]

I have to say, that was the weirdest form of "help" I've ever seen.[A pause]Though I still owe you thanks, so thank you.

[She gives a small sigh as she turns to look at the guy. It seems she can't simply do her bit and walk away after all.]

I thought you might be another PC, so I attacked too... But I stole your kills in the process. Most people wouldn't thank a KSer.

...But I'm not going to apologize for getting the EXP, either.

Don't worry about that, though I will admit was a bit angry at first but...[Ryusei stares at Shinon]...I saw how you used that gun. Your shots were accurate, and you didn't hesitate to attack even when those small fries had me surrounded.(Having someone like that around would benefit me in the long run.)I'm Sakuta Ryusei, and you are?

[Her eyes narrow slightly at the staring. It's not a comfortable feeling, having someone looking at you like that. Still, he... probably doesn't mean any harm by it.

And if he did, well. There was always PvP.]

...I'm Shinon.

[Nope, no harmful intentions. It's Ryusei's way of saying hello! Well ok, maybe not really hello, but at he recognizes Shinon's skill.]

Well then, Shinon-san. Do you want to help me take out guys?[Ryusei gestures to the remaining goblins in the area.] They may not be much, but at least they'd provide some level of entertainment.

[She hesitates a moment before shaking her head... Though it's not exactly in answer.]

Using an honorific in a place like this is a little weird, so you don't need to do that. I don't mind teaming up for now, though.

[It's hard to admit, but going solo for the majority of her stay? Not the most fun. And frankly, fighting with someone more suited to the front lines would make things much more efficient.]

Alright then.[Ryusei reaches into his pocket and takes out his relic.]Let's exchange addresses then form a party. I think I can figure out how to work the party system in this place.

[tank_sniper]

[She looks a little confused when she sees him take out his Relic. But then...

...Yeah, it would make sense for there to be some kind of interface to form an actual party. She's a little ashamed to have not picked up on that, to be honest. Cue taking out her own Relic, albeit a little uncertainly.]

I haven't traded addresses before. How do you...?

[Ryusei raises and eyebrow then moves his relic next to Shinon's. Both relics make a beeping sound signaling the exchange.]Just like that. Simple, isn't it? Now...[Ryusei goes to his friends list and spots an "invite to party" option next to Shinon's name.]Alright, party invite sent.

[tank_sniper]

[Once she sees the invite, she quickly accepts. Handy.]

Alright, looks like that did it. Where to now?

Hmmm...[Ryusei tucks his relic back in his pocket then looks around. He spots a group of goblins circling a treasure chest.] Ah! Let's get those guy guarding that box. [It's called a treasure chest.]

[tank_sniper]

Okay. You'll have to take lead; I'm not suited for close combat.

[minetodecide]

Got it. [He headed towards the goblins, who were oblivious to his advance.](They don't even notice us? Heh, idiots.)[Ryusei lifted his scythe above his head as he drew closer. When he was only a few feet away he charged towards the enemy and slashed the closest goblin.]

Now, we'll be taking that box![It's a treasure chest, Ryusei, treasure chest.]

Monsters first, then the treasure!

[Shinon, meanwhile, is staying back and sniping from as far away as possible. She'll shoot at whatever Ryusei happens to be attacking at the time, hoping that he'll keep the aggro.]

Woooooo~WACHA!

[The battle was going well. Ryusei would attack one and Shinon would follow up. The goblins don't even notice her, they were focused on the crazy kid swinging a scythe and making funny Bruce Lee sounds. One goblin had already fallen, and the other two were soon to follow.]

[tank_sniper]

[...This guy is ridiculous. But they managed to make it through the battle just fine, so at least there's that. Once the monsters are cleared, she'll lower her bayonet and make her way over to him.]

Do you always make those sounds?

[He puts the scythe away and rubs his hands, brushing the dust off.]

Sounds?[A pause]Ah, my battle cries. Well, that's how I was taught. It gives power to every strike.

[tank_sniper]

...You know that probably doesn't do anything in a game like this, right?

[She raises an eyebrow, keeping her weapon in hand for now. She doesn't have the HP to spare if she gets attacked unexpectedly.]

Probably not, but it's mostly psychological, suppose to make one feel more powerful. And besides, it's become a habit already.

[He walks over to the treasure box and kneels before it.]

Now, let's see what's in this.

Be ready in case it's trapped.

[She stands a little behind him, her posture loose. The warning was more of a reminder than anything else; she's not actually expecting it to be trapped.]
